Talk Therapy
This approach to Addiction Recovery was originally referred to as the "Talking Cure". Today we primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to create change in the addict's life. We build relapse prevention plans and deeper exploration into the origins of addiction and practice healthier coping skills
Experiential Therapy
Developed in the 1970s, this is an approach that encourages clients to identify and address hidden or subconscious issues through activities such as role playing, guided imagery and a range of other active experiences. Using Mindful awareness and Somatic techniques in the "here and now" clients gain experiential insight to many automatic responses that still cause problems.
